Bagno Vignoni is an ancient spa, well known since the Roman times, when injured soldiers returning to Rome after the battles, used to stop here to "take the water" that is to swim in the pool with its powerful healing capacity. Later on, even Santa Caterina da Siena and the Medici family visited the place, and in modern times, this has been the location for numerous movies.
