VIA ROMEA GERMANICA, AN ANCIENT PILGRIM TRAIL
The Via Romea Germanica is a medieval pilgrim trail, indicated by the Abbot Alberto di Stade in 1236, going from the North See to Rome. The official route is more than 2000 km, and one of its italian stages reaches Cortona and then on towards Pozzuolo in Umbria, crossing the small village of Petrignano del lago, at a few hundreds meters from I Palazzi B&B.
